Vegan Lifestyle and Emotional Well-Being Survey

Vegans:  Seeking your participation in a survey on the emotional, social, and spiritual experiences associated with living a vegan lifestyle.

If you are interested in completing the survey, click HERE (or below, after description of study).

I’m a licensed psychologist and a certified vegan lifestyle coach and educator.  I’m passionate about helping people move toward a vegan lifestyle, for their own health and well-being, as well as caring for all sentient beings and the planet.

What is the study about?  I’m interested in understanding more about the emotional, social, and spiritual impacts of living a vegan lifestyle, as part of my research for writing a book on this topic.

While society often views veganism as a lifestyle of restriction and deprivation, the experience of many vegans is one of abundance and fulfillment.  Many vegans describe an inner transformation as they move into a vegan lifestyle.

And at the same time, as our hearts open to greater compassion, there can also be emotional and social challenges that come with being vegans in a non-vegan world.

My hope is that the findings from this research will support vegans to live with even more purpose and fulfillment, and will inspire pre-vegans to step forward on to this compassionate and life-affirming path.

Who is invited to participate?  Anyone who identifies as a vegan and who eats a plant-exclusive, vegan diet.

All vegans are welcome, regardless of reasons for being vegan, or type of vegan diet. Also, it doesn’t matter if you identify as spiritual or not spiritual, I’m interested in understanding the experiences of a range of different vegans.

How do I participate?   If you would be interested in participating in this brief survey about veganism and emotional well-being, please click on the link below.

The survey will be open through October 31, 2021.

Your responses will be held confidential.  Discussion of the research results will be presented in terms of general trends across all participants.

If you choose to participate in the survey, it is greatly appreciated, as it will help understand the perspectives of a wide range of vegans.

Follow-up interviews:  I may conduct follow-up interviews with a select number of participants.  If you are willing to be contacted for this, you are invited to include your contact information (first name and email address) on the survey.  The decision to include your contact information for a potential follow-up interview is entirely voluntary.
